Start with how the shade will be used
A villa driveway, a company car park and a public facility need different shades. The right choice depends on the number of cars, the look you want, how much daylight should pass, and the budget. Our car parking shades cover all four main types.
The four main types
PVC membrane shades
A tensioned PVC-coated membrane on a steel or aluminium frame. Clean look, many colours, and a good fit for villas and commercial car parks.
Fabric (shade net) shades
A breathable shade fabric that lets hot air pass. Economical for large car parks where cost per space matters.
Polycarbonate shades
Rigid panels that let diffused daylight through while blocking direct sun. Suited to entrances and areas where a brighter space is preferred.
K-Span (arched metal) shades
Self-supporting arched metal roofs that cover wide spans with fewer columns, for long parking rows and service areas.
Quick guide
- Best look for a villa: PVC membrane or a designed aluminium shade.
- Lowest cost per car: fabric shade net.
- Daylight underneath: polycarbonate.
- Long rows, few columns: K-Span.
