Schüco (Germany)
A premium German system brand with a wide range of hinged, sliding, lift & slide, folding and curtain wall systems. Suited to high-end villas and projects where the specification names the brand. Schüco systems.
Alumil (Greece)
A Greek system brand with a broad range from standard to premium lines, including slim sliding and lift & slide systems. A strong balance of design and value. Alumil systems.
Qalex (Qatar)
Systems from Qatar Aluminium Extrusion, available in thermal and non-thermal versions. A local option with short supply lines. Qalex systems.
How to choose
- Specification: if the consultant or project specifies a brand, follow it.
- Opening type: large sliding or lift & slide openings need a system designed for the panel size and weight.
- Heat: for air-conditioned rooms, ask for thermal-break profiles and suitable insulated glass.
- Budget: compare the same opening type, glass and hardware across brands.
- Fabrication and installation: a good system badly installed still leaks and sticks. Ask who fabricates and installs.
Frequently asked questions
Can I mix brands in one villa?
Yes. Some clients use a premium system for the main façade and large openings and a more economical system elsewhere.
